I Have A Dream

As a boy growing up in Memphis I witnessed the sanitation worker’s strike and experienced the curfews that resulted from the riots and the assasination of Dr. Martin Luther King.

A week or so after the riots I rode in a car down the streets and saw the burned out buildings.

As a young man at Harding Graduate School of Religion in Memphis I read collections of Martin Luther King’s sermons.

Today I pause to recall those memories and the message that King so powerfully proclaimed in this speech.
