A Prayer of Forgiveness

“Forgiving God,
Your fingers are gentle
As they touch the hurting places within me.
They heal my need to be right, my need for revenge.
The warmth of your touch
Softens my pride.
Knowing I am fully loved,
Let me forgive myself and others, my God
as you forgive.
Then I can say, Amen, Lord,
Amen to all you are doing in my life.”
