Instant Judgments

We’re prone to instant judgments. Problem is, sometimes we need a day or two to let something sink in so that our understanding can be clearer. When understanding develops a day or two after we have fired off an instant reaction, rather than simply admit we spoke too soon, we are prone to dig in to a defensive position. Let’s be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
